Directions + parking

This event is being held in the Marilyn Days photo studio, located within Espacio above La Mo restaurant in Downtown Turlock. Street parking is available on Main Street, as well as a parking lot behind the building along Thor St. Sometimes it can take some time to find parking if it’s a farmer’s market Saturday, etc. Don’t stress, I’ll be upstairs when you get here :)

*Please note the studio is located on the second level of the building, only accessible via staircase. Kindly ensure all participants of your session are able to walk up stairs (or carried for the littles).

What should I expect?

Nothing to be nervous about, my goal is for this to be as comfortable an experience as possible for anyone participating. You can expect a laid back session lasting up to 20 minutes. You'll receive 10 finished images via digital gallery.

I view my sessions as a creative collaboration and exploration of the present moment. It's not about coming together to pose for photos, but rather a time set aside for to be seen as you are. I let kiddos set the pace and give them time to gain my trust before asking too much of them. I've been photographing folks for over ten years and I've learned how to direct my subjects throughout the session while still allowing for your natrual self to shine through.

how much does this cost?

This session is $250. A depsoit of $99 secures your booking and the remaining balance of $151 is due Wednesday 8/16/23.

Where will we be taking photos?

This event is being held in the Marilyn Days photo studio, located within Espacio above La Mo restaurant in Downtown Turlock. You will receive location details and address before your session in your final details email. You can expect one portrait set up with a white seamless backdrop.

Who can I bring?

This is intended to be an intimate session between one individual or a small group of littles/siblings for back to school portraits. Bringing another adult for support is totally okay, please let Marilyn know who will be attendning your session in your final details email.

What should I wear?

My only rule for my clients is to wear something you're comfortable in, if you feel like yourself in it, it's the right choice.

If you need more direction: I advise staying away from bright patterns and obvious logos, or words on clothing.

How many photos will I recieve and when should I expect them?

You'll receive many finished images in your final gallery. Your session includes 10 finshed images of your choice. All images are uploaded to a private digital gallery where you can make image selections and purchase additional images. You'll also have options for ordering prints shipped directly to you, or you can download at full resolution for safe keeping/ printing on your own.

All galleries will be delivered within 2 weeks
