One For Dad - Portrait Event
A laid back 20 minute portrait session in celebration of the coolest dude you know. Document the Dads and Father figures in your life with a natural-light session in my studio, quick and easy. My intention is to document each Dad and their kid(s) honestly, without taking ourselves too seriously, yielding a tangible moment to hold onto for generations to come.
20 Minute Session, 15 Finished Images via digital gallery, full-resolution download, options for ordering additional images and prints.
Available for Dads, Grandpas, Father Figures of any kind. Generations welcome.

What should I expect?
Nothing to be nervous about, my goal is for this to be as comfortable an experience as possible for participating Dads & kiddo(s). A laid back session lasting up to 20 minutes. You'll receive 15 finished images via digital gallery.
I view my sessions as a creative collaboration and exploration of the present moment. It's not about coming together to pose for photos, but rather a time you set aside to be with your child(ren) and be seen as you are. I let kiddos set the pace and give them time to gain my trust before asking too much of them. I've been photographing folks for over ten years and I've learned how to direct my subjects throughout the session while still allowing for your natrual self to shine through.

how much does this cost?
This session is $275. A depsoit of $99 secures your booking and the remaining balance of $176 is due Wednesday 6/3/26. Special pricing availble for Single Dads, please email hi@marilyndays.com after booking your time slot for more information. Families who participated in The Mother Portraits 2026 will receive a discount of $50 off their final balance.
Where will we be taking photos?
This event will be hosted in Turlock, CA at Marilyn Days' photography studio in Downtown Turlock. You will receive location details and address before your session in your final details email. You can expect one portrait set up with a white seamless backdrop.
*Please note the studio is located on the second level of the building, only accessible via staircase. Kindly ensure all participants of your session are able to walk up stairs (or carried for the littles).
Who can I bring?
This is intended to be an intimate session between one Father and his children. Bringing another adult for support, or bringing your dad, brother, grandfather, grandkids etc. to capture a multi-generational photo is totally welcome. Maximum of 4 adults per session slot, Multiple-Family sessions cannot be accomodated during this event.
What should I wear?
My only rule is to wear something you're comfortable in, if you feel like yourself in it, it's the right choice.
If you need more direction: Try staying away from bright patterns and obvious logos, or words on clothing.
Should I bring anything?
Since these sessions are 20 minutes in length, it's best to travel light. Bring the essentals to keep little ones happy, but otherwise no props or accessories are necessary.
I'll provide the set up and music all you have to do is show up!
How many photos will I recieve and when should I expect them?
You'll receive many finished images in your final gallery. Your session includes 15 finshed images of your choice. All images are uploaded to a private digital gallery where you can make image selections and purchase additional images. You'll also have options for ordering prints shipped directly to you, or you can download at full resolution for safe keeping/ printing on your own.
All galleries will be delivered by end of day Father's Day 6/21/26
